It costs more to shop in Uganda than it does in Tesco!
The shocking truth is that cooking oil costs £2 per litre in Uganda right now but in your local supermarket you would find it for £1.40... rice is almost £1 per kilo and beans, a vital protein source, is 70 pence a kilo. When you have less than a pound a day to live on you can imagine why many children are now getting hungry and sick.

It is all because of economics and global warming... together they have caused food prices to escalate and food reserves to diminish. These families can do nothing to stop their situation worsening but they do pray, they can turn to a loving God who steps in and helps. The amazing thing is that he calls us to get involved too through prayer and action.

Thanks to many of our friends we already have a pot of £2000 to begin an emergency feeding programme. We are ready to do this for three months when the new harvest will hopefully be ready. We do not want to turn anyone away and so we are keeping this pot open so that we can feed as many as need food. May the givers keep being refilled so you can keep living a generous life. If you would like to join them you can give online.
