The Hungry Turn to Jesus
We have just arrived back to the UK from an amazing time with our friends in Uganda. The nation is very unsettled in terms of the political situation whilst the poor remain very hungry and desperate. Maize is growing now but the harvest will not come until July.
It was both a joy and a humbling experience to meet so many families who were so grateful for our feeding programme. There was a simple turning of hearts to Jesus as we heard their stories and offered to pray. The poor really do inherit the kingdom of God! Jesus was very gentle with these dear ones and we saw him touch a blind woman's eyes and give her some sight back whilst a lame man stretched his leg out for the first time since breaking it.
