"We are praying for you all in UK!" That was the text we received the other day as London began to look more like a war zone than a host city for the Olympic Games next year. Joy and Sam had heard about the troubles in the UK on the BBC World Service and were mobilising folks to pray for us. Only a few months ago we were praying for them as weekly riots broke out in Uganda over the huge rises in food costs. The global situation seems volatile at this point in history but our hope and confidence in God remains."Rock of Ages", the old hymn, popped into my head even as I typed those last words and so no matter what happens in Uganda, UK or elsewhere we want to always turn to God who never changes and is always good.
