David Walliams was swimming in pouring rain, gusting winds and making his way down the Thames one slow mile at a time. He was doing this as his response to meeting Philip, a street kid in Kenya. It was wonderful to cheer him on and inspiring to see him put his celebrity status to good use. Sometimes we get to meet children who inspire us too and other times we simply hear about them through others. Maybe others could be inspired to do something amazing like David and change a child's life like Philip. Helping Hands has been our response to the many children who show such dignity and courage in the face of such hardship. Maybe you could do something fun or crazy or challenging like David and help some of the children we know.
