Sam Mugote is truly a safe pair of hands to steer our healthcare work in Kamuli and Jinja District through its next phase of development. As well as a leader in Deliverance Churches, an indigenous group of churches, he is also the founder of TAIP which works with Tearfund in the whole area of AIDS prevention and care. Sam has been with us since we began in 2004 and we are thrilled that he has agreed to take the operational helm in this area. We have always said that the locals know best and so it is our joy to see Sam lead us onwards. Debbie Newman, the Founding Director, continues to shape the vision of Helping Hands and looks to develop our community outreach and links with other nations.
