Every term our medical officer, George Luyiiro, visits each school. He is able to offer Joy, our nurse, advice on the most recent recommendations for the treatment of the diseases she sees every day in the villages. It is wonderful to have a safe pair of hands checking that all we do is "best practice". The other day he arranged to visit Standard Primary School and whilst there a boy began to react violently to the treatment that he had been given. George instantly knew what was happening and took measures to ensure that the boy was safe and accessed a different type of medicine. He also wrote him a letter, advising all health centres of his allergy to sulphur based drugs. Thanks to George for the work he does on the ground and as a member of our Executive Committee. Thanks also to God for brilliant timing!
