May Brookes, also known as Debbie's Granny, celebrated 100 years of life last Saturday. She did so in great style with around 40 family and friends, a big lunch and an enormous cake. May did something a little different though... she asked folks to re-direct their gifts to the children in Uganda so that they might be blessed through her celebration too. Thanks to her big heart and that of her family and friends, £1000 was given and will be used to specifically help children we come across who have special needs and no parents to help them. Often these children are left in the care of an elderly grandmother so this seems very appropriate and we will call it the Jaja Fund (meaning Granny Pot!!!!)
